I wonder if GPT would/could make a good base for “port-X-From-ALang-to-BLang” type stuff. It wouldn’t necessarily be idiomatic, but neither are most first stabs at conversions…it just needs to be better than the non-ML stuff that is out there today to be enticing.
I should give it a try first (AFK) but it feels doable for simple dynamic script lang conversions….
