@brain_blasted_ I started using Linux in 1994 on a university shell server.
The first version I installed pictured below (not my pictures, random ones): Infomagic’s packaging of Slackware 2.3.
IIRC the stats were:
- Kernel: 1.2.8
- Binary format: a.out (pre-ELF)
- libc: libc5 (pre-glibc)
