As much as I want to go home to Seattle, being dependent on cars again is something I'm not looking forward to. It has also been my least favorite part of going home from trips abroad.
Cars are great for between cities, but for daily shit I'd prefer walking + reliable transit.

Walkable cities are objectively better than car-dependent cities. Even I, a guy obsessed with cars, can admit that. When you design/redesign cities to cater to cars, you get worse traffic, longer commutes, air pollution, noise pollution, unsafe roads, and ugly ass neighborhoods.
