The annual Pentagon budget hovers over $750 billion annually, twice that of the much debated Build Back Better Act that costs about $350 billion annually as currently proposed. And the Build Back Better Act is PAID for, unlike the Pentagon’s budget (which we don’t even audit!).

While Congress debates a $3.5 trillion bill over 10 years to benefit the American people, the US has spent $21 trillion over the past 20 years on militarization at home and abroad. So there is a political will to invest large sums of money, it has just been for the wrong things.
