I think of childcare costs every time someone talks about the declining birth rate. Even if you're both working at good jobs childcare is prohibitively expensive & then you have to pay this & save for college & retirement. It makes having kids a reflection of financial privilege

For bby1 and bby2 to go for 5 days and for a full work day would cost us 1855 if we could finish work by 3. Really it would be $2,120 a month if we couldn't be done by 3
