This thread paints a very clear picture of how the institutions are inherently trust do not prevent discrimination and injustice. The "rules" say they will send you the paperwork to request a hearing. But a human has to do that. And they can just... not send it to you.

I was told I’d be mailed the paperwork to initiate a hearing. By January 2021, none had arrived. I emailed again, questioning how this could be possible. Got this response, which also once again suggested that I could withdraw my application altogether. I said I'd keep waiting.
