How come so many German dialects are considered separate languages? Are they really that different? Seems like Skånska should be a different language than the local one then. But only Elfdalian has graduated to separate language, as far as I know, and it's quite different.

Actual covid was less painful, I guess we must have had a very mild case. Then, I had fever-like soreness but no fever, now it's outright pain. But also I had pain already now so maybe it's just compounded.

Latest "old" iPhone trick to try to get me to buy a new one: suddenly the wifi password is "wrong," after years of not touching anything.
Restarting doesn't work.
Re-entering it doesn't work (from password manager so I'm not messing it up.)
Works fine on every other device, including this one.

I'm blown away by how many entries we got and how high quality they were! It's been an honour and a huge learning experience to help organise this. Looking forward to the next one!
I found Skype is allowed to be called "Skype for iPhone" so maybe "Mastodon for iPhone" will work and save me this headache. Still thinking about a subtitle though.

"Mastodon: Social Microblogging
Live news from your friends"
Picking a title for the App Store page is not easy. Just "Mastodon" is taken by someone - I can't find who or what. So needs more words. "for iOS" is redundant and not permitted. "Decentralized" is so long it doesn't leave any characters for the noun. Besides, I don't want any technical jargon. Any words that a random internet user won't immediately recognize. Twitch has it so easy with its "Twitch: Live Game Streaming". Short and clear.

@technomancy @charlag Yeah the thing that bothers me other than having to configure various websites before they will work is that PRs exist entirely outside of git, *and* seem superfluous to me since I can contribute just fine without them elsewhere. If it was just an optional web UI on top of standard git features it would be fine and good for me.

@owl @charlag github is easier for people who have been trained to use github and nothing else; no question about it. centralization and monopolies are definitely slick and seductive.
but it's possible just to use github as just another random place to store a publicly visible git remote. if someone tells me "hey I have a branch up here with some changes, can you merge them?" I don't care where it's hosted.
