- drawn in a comic book style, the album cover features the three vocalists/rappers of the group skydiving off the front edge of a flying stage with a large tail rudder next to a bowler-hat-wearing keyboard player. the flying craft’s designation is N-37B. in the center of the stage is the drummer playing an electronic drum kit. on the right is a DJ with a turntable. the bass player is in the sky to the upper right wearing a fedora and grinning. he is riding a green dragon that has a speech bubble saying "wikki! wikki!! wikki!!!". they are flying above a desert looking landscape in the background.there is one palm tree. We've seen in the browser space how damaging it is having a single team pushing features without consulting other vendors. This is how masto operates and we can already see the effects. Most people don't even know there are other services. Other teams constantly have to adjust their software to suit masto or reverse engineer a feature so its compatible with masto.
This isn't sustainable. Decentralization requires plurality of implementations.

Everybody's hyped about the #fediverse right now, but i don't think its current development is sustainable. #mastodon has always done development like this, but releasing changes without testing against other software is irresponsible. Fedi devs need to come up with a process to make changes that are compatible across implementations.

It's pretty frustrating that mastodon got rid of the remote interaction feature. Copy/pasting a link into your own instance is way more clunky and doesn't work well with all the new #ActivityPub blog setups.
If someone setup their blog to look like an AP Actor, their posts just link to their site so there's prolly nothing for your instance to pull in. These blog should return AP+json for their blog posts when appropriate, but the old remote interaction would have worked anyway.

My friend did the makeup, I gave her free-reign to do what she pleased as I triggered a small dissociative episode trying to pick a headpiece and getting hit hard by hairline / density dysphoria. I felt better once we got there and I had a drink and ended up having a great time!

- A white trans woman looking away from the camera. She has dark eyeliner and lipstick. She has the gender symbols for male and female drawn on her face with her eyeliner being the circle and the arrow and cross extending down to her cheek. The female symbol is on her right, the male on her left. On her lower forehead is an upturned crescent moon. She has a large sparkling necklace on, and a fashion beanie like hat with sequins. The background of the picture is dark, a bar of some kind, there are fairy lights a wall covered in small posters or newspaper for wallpaper. (remote)

I heard about this last year and sought mine out, and the top message in my secret inbox #3 was a dm from Taibbi — our only contact lol
