I'm here for conversation, and I've learned plenty along the way by trying to listen carefully. As long as I can continue to do that, I'll probably be fine with future changes. If not, welp, I'll have to find some other place where I can continue to have conversations with people.

I've pondered the "broadcast" vs "conversation" dichotomy here before. But with the recent newcomers, I am seeing a another dimension I hadn't considered. There's people who seem to want to use this place in a third way. Dive in and out of conversations they aren't part of, algorithmically surface "interesting" content etc. I wonder if the fediverse can accommodate all these different uses? Maybe, although I suspect it won't be a unified fediverse, but it already isn't, so...
