I have learned this because it's proving very very annoying to get a refund for a (technically Hahn Air) ticket for a teeny-tiny flight that got canceled, but I'm trying to feel wonder at this arrangement rather than frustration

Maybe software was a mistake? :thonking:

Even assuming the best intentions of all involved, making and delivering software is hard due to many, often conflicting, needs of people. On top of that, throw in the reality of people attempting to control the platforms that are used to deliver software or attempting to disrupt existing relationships for their own reasons. You then have an ever shifting landscape with no good answers and nobody is happy unless you're an Apple with an ironfisted control over your platform.

In other words, Mr. Pence’s claim is the proverbial invention of the mother of necessity if ever there was one.”

I showed Atarashii Gakko! to the kiddo, and I have since become much more familiar with their oeuvre than you'd expect from a middle aged man who doesn't speak Japanese. (On the other hand, it's not like I know the lyrics to all the songs in English I like.) The one thing I can say definitively is they work hard at what they do. Thanks to Captain Disillusion for introducing them to me:
