kind of boggles my mind that there's no standard mechanism to signal "no longer on hold" over a phone line. seems like being able to listen a to your own music or podcasts or audiobooks while on hold would be a huge quality of life improvement

The idea of not delivering software may seem weird. However, instead of delivering software as complete artifacts to be consumed, what if we shared and delivered ideas and approaches, which would then need to be implemented locally where they are used? The idea being to foster a culture of practice and independence.

I admit not shipping bits is an artificial constraint considering the nature of software, but it is something I ponder due to the power imbalances that result.
