A lot of games that I can run at 4k in theory seem really unstable at that resolution. Midnight Suns, but also Dragon Quest XI would randomly crash until I reduced the resolution to 1920x1080

this is creepy:

“Widespread belief in anti-Jewish tropes, at rates unseen for decades

Over three-quarters of Americans (85 percent) believe at least one anti-Jewish trope, as opposed to 61 percent found in 2019. Twenty percent of Americans believe six or more tropes, which is significantly more than the 11 percent that ADL found in 2019 and is the highest level measured in decades.”

It's like pulling teeth to get prescriptions out of them, but this is not because of any disagreement between me, the doctor or my insurance company about what I should be taking, or even due to over-strict controlled substance laws. It's all very mundane stuff. They're just as punctual about actually calling them in as I am about doing laundry

I post a lot about games because I don't like to post anything too IRL these days & that pretty much just leaves me with media discussion, shitposts, and personal creative projects and I'm kinda running dry on the latter 2 categories most days

But omg I'm irritated at how poorly administered my gp's office is. They run their office as reliably as I would run their office

By the way, my other go-to example of the same is the notoriously irresolvable choice between two ways of representing an absent value in a dict: `None` or not having a key in the dict. Which then multiplies into a way of checking for it: is it .get() or catching a KeyError?

#Apple started abusing iOS Siri Suggestions widget for banner ads!

(the fact that this is also an abuse of market position to advertise another Apple business doesn’t make it any less sleazy)
