It's interesting how the folks that always claimed Safari shouldn't have features like Push Notifications, and that's why it was OK for them not to have shipped – or allowed other browsers to on iOS – for most of a decade, are eerily silent about Apple adding support in 16.4.

Is it not now bad? Was it never bad? What changed?

Fastly and Datadog who both sponsor us by providing us a free service were instrumental in analyzing and mitigating the attack. Shout out to our own team as well, glad I don't have to do this alone anymore!

Everything is back to normal now. Yes, it was an attack, not legitimate traffic. No, we don't know who was behind it. I agree the timing with Twitter being down was unfortunate.

I have a few dozen extra copies of the full 12-issue run of https://1923.press that I have held onto mostly for sentimental reasons. I think it's time I get rid of most of them... is there a straightforward way to see if libraries with zine collections are interested in a copy?

Also, I would like to retronym IDE to Isolated Development Environment since I have never really found any of them very integrated considering how many of them I have open at any given time.

there is a smallish crow (youngster?) hanging out with the usual crowd of nondescript brown birds in the back yard, near the feeder. I keep it full of ‘black oil’ sunflower seeds.

our crow friend is discovering that they are too heavy, and that the feeder shuts when they land on it
