This is a public sector extension of the partner-focused consulting I've been doing since 2015 with some of Google's biggest customers.

For most of the last decade, I've helped governments and agencies around the world reach citizens and residents more effectively. For zero money-dollars.

I'm just so embarrassed of the terrible results that I'm willing to personally pitch in. How fucked is SV? So busted we're doing bake-sale perf improvement for what others took hundreds of millions to "fix"

Leaving my cooktop soaked in vinegar for five hours and vigorous application of magic eraser did indeed help in relieving its brushed aluminum surface from hard water stains.

If you're in the public sector and worry that you've made the canonical Angular/React mistake and now your site is slow and inaccessible, it's OK. We'll get through it.

I've got ~25 years working on the web, and ~15 from inside a browser and I'll analyse and recommend remediations (obviously, for free).

@carnage4life But there's an important caveat: my hobby is not my job on which I depend with my life. I can just stop doing it and occupy myself with another one. So I wholeheartedly sympathize with that 3D artist and wish them luck in solving the problem.

@carnage4life I love editing photos to make them look like I want, regardless of what I shot. Every time a new camera or a phone comes out I realize that a small part of my skill in this becomes obsolete, as computational photography learns new tricks. And they are often better than what I can produce with my current tool of choice. But I don't get bummed as I realize the important part of me being in the process is this "knowing what I want", not how I can achieve that.

Looks like that 3D artist is having a hard time disentangling creativity from their proficiency in using a particular tool, a craft in other words. And everyone would, it doesn't invalidate their frustration. Still I think it's important to realize that tools change all the time and sometimes suddenly become obsolete. It's an artist's job to constantly re-learn how to channel their creativity through new tools.

not bad for something that collapses down to a tube about 2 feet long. it won’t take the weight of a balun, but should be great for getting the far end of an end-fed up in the air
