I have early memories of seeing auroras, but those memories are embedded inside memories of recurring dreams I used to have.

I also have early memories of a house my family lived in for a while, but those memories are also embedded inside the memories of recurring dreams (actually a childhood nightmare).

I wonder if there's a word for only remembering something through a memory of a dream?

FOSSi Foundation's Latch-Up was held recently in Santa Barbara, California. The videos of the presentations are up already. They're worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing.

For reference, turning down the brightness by 15% on my 49" ultra-wide display makes a difference of 25W.

At roughly 10 hours of daily usage, that's 0.25kWh each day or about 50 Euros per year!

Easiest way to save some energy and money tho: turn down your display's brightness by just 10 to 15 percent. Makes a huge difference, especially with bigger displays.
