Saw a youtube video that was like "why pokemon clones are going extinct" which is funny because precisely the opposite is happening. It's just that novel pokemon clones from major companies aren't really happening anymore, but that was more or less the case after the GBA era ended. Major companies are no longer chasing a trend set by the late 90s one-two punch of pokemon gen 1 & tamagocchi. They're not coming up with new monster catching games released in paired versions.

That little voice in my head, it turns out, is an idiot.

“State Duma Parliamentarian Viktor Sobolev warned that mobilized servicemen who decide to join the ranks of Wagner private military company (PMC) will face 10 to 15 years in prison because Wagner is an illegal armed formation within Russia. It is unclear if Sobolev’s comments were made in response to the allegations, since Sobolev is an avid critic of Prigozhin and the Wagner forces.”

apparently it was released in Oct 03 and maxed out at 10 on the US charts, which might explain why I didn't see the video when I was home from school over the holidays

There was a time when developing a project through online collaboration was a novelty, unusual enough to be used as a project name, as in Netlib, NetHack, NetBSD. "Net-" was basically today's "open-", "free-", or "libre-"... #retrocomputing

@kissane Very good point, sadly even if you had a reliable form of human verification, that won't stop a single person from managing multiple discussions with the help from an LLM, their output is still multiplied.

Either way I suspect LLMs will reduce the accessibility of online spaces, because speaking a human language no longer means being human, so additional barriers will be put in place that end up hurting everyone.

Sounds to me like as good a definition for a family as you can give.
