As solutions go I guess it's better than the alternative, but... I guess I should have been more suspicious of the rose motifs in that chapter

ok so I was a little too hasty in complaining about the lack of story/context in Spirit Hunter: Death Mark.

The bad news: there's some annoying pixel hunting involved and also occasional pinup-style illustrations of (in the first chapter) women being trapped by thorny vines. I can only assume that's gonna continue throughout the game.
