What are my steps?
Am I joining a new Relay?

This is a cool tool if you are in the path of today's #eclipse. Pop in your zip code and it will tell you when the event will start, how much of the totality you will see, and how long it will last.

#BlueSky question: There are three main architecture components— PDS, Relays, and App Views.
Under this structure, I, a user, could log into any App View I wanted, even if that App View used a different Relays and Lexicons from BlueSky, and I wouldn't have to "migrate" my account, correct?
If so, what would that login process look like? I assume there would be a sign up process where I'd have to provide any additional information required by the app?
Am I way off on this?

Google is cracking down on its internal "Memegen" "message board".
So a few words of my own about this, having experienced and used Memegen myself during periods when I was working inside #Google. In my view, Memegen represents a powerful feedback mechanism between employees and execs. I was in fact enormously impressed when I first saw it, having not anticipated such an open discussion internally. I have been wondering to myself for quite some time now how long Google execs would permit this freewheeling exchange of ideas to continue given the various pressures the company is now under (much of which being the result, in my opinion, of execs' own unforced errors). And now it appears that the writing is on the wall -- the beginning of the end perhaps -- for the usefulness of this wonderful internal tool. Very sad to see. -L

Not much new to add to the first impressions post, but a few new thoughts and realizations, plus a handful of "do you still like it?" emails prompted the update.

I guess in fairness, Google breaks things all the time too. My YouTube app just shows the dark overlay on top of the video permanently about 30% of the time. Today, i hit a bug that made it impossible to close the app.
I think I'm just more frustrated with Apple because a) I have literally no recourse except to buy their hardware; and b) I'm not constantly surrounded by people telling me how genius Google is and how great and user-friendly their products are.

Discovered an incredible painting today: The Babylonian Marriage Market, by Edwin Long.
Edwin Long is thought to have conceived the painting in direct response to creation of the new laws centered around women's ownership and the ongoing women's suffrage movement.
