four generations of my family have volutarily raised our right hands and taken the Oath to the Constitution. four straight generations of us have worn Army Green without dishonor. My father, brother, and one nephew were officers, while I was an "Enlisted Person" and very low-level NCO.
I pity my young grand-nephew; he is probably going to be faced with orders requiring ugly choices. I hope he has some courage, and I hope he has some convictions.
