VILNIUS, Lithuania — Nearly 3 1/2 decades after leaving the Soviet Union, the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania this weekend will flip a switch to end electricity-grid connections to neighboring Russia and Belarus — and turn to their European Union allies.

The severing of electricity ties to oil- and gas-rich Russia is steeped in geopolitical and symbolic significance.

! Big plesiosaur news !
Our paper that might change the way we look at plesiosaurs is published in Current Biology. We describe for the first time evidence for pigment cells and provide a detailed analysis of scales in a plesiosaur. We found scale-like structures at the limbs that may had a hydrodynamic effect and stiffened the paddles. Body and tail were scale-less.
I thank Miguel Marx and my fellow co-authors for being part of the team.

What's surprisingly bad about it for Apple, though, is the UI. It changes from app to app (!), varying from functional but cryptic in TextEdit to basically unusable in BBEdit and Ulysses (where I actually do most of my writing). Bonus: in BBEdit, it silently removes Markdown formatting.
