No. Your politics are shit because you are adopting the narratives of the right (austerity, racism) and provide no meaningful alternatives.

Today's Confession: I have a cookie recipe that people rave about. My daughter told her mom (who thinks she's the Queen of Cookies), and her Mom called asking me for the recipe. I declined because I deserve special things that my kids could only get at my house. Knowing how toxic that mom is, and that she would convince that daughter to steal the recipe, I replaced the recipe with a modified version. A month later, my son told me, "Moms aren't as good as yours."

As much as I detest the term "agentic AI" for all that it stands for, it's a term that everyone should understand and be conversant about. If you thought we had problems already with systems being compromised by botnets, wait until everyone and his mom starts handing control over their system to agentic AI. It won't be long now.

Lot of people died because of this. A good reminder that most that make up the shadowy parts of our power structures are mostly idiots. https://www.404media.co/the-cia-secretly-ran-a-star-wars-fan-site/

Still baffling to me how people asking for basic human rights and civil liberties are painted as far left. They’re normal asks and enjoyed in many other countries. The rhetoric is just designed to stop the conversation; it’s not a serious discussion.

article goes on to not mention at all that SO made a deal with OpenAI to sell all the content on the site (belonging to its users) which then prompted open revolt which SO dealt with by *checks notes* banning people who had the nerve to delete or change their answers https://www.theregister.com/2024/05/09/stack%5Foverflow%5Fbanning%5Fusers%5Fwho/

Things paramedics (~$20/hr base pay) and EMTs (~$17/hr base) I work with have done for people this year:
1. Paid for prescriptions so the patient wouldn’t have to call 911 every few days (multiple patients and crews).
2. Paid for rideshares to get people places when they didn’t want an ambulance but needed help.
3. Bought and delivered meals to a patient.
4. Bought clothing for a patient and delivered it to the hospital for them. And many more I can’t recall right now.
