That is to say, the classic cycle of the computing _economy_ has been that chipmakers, mostly Intel, build faster machines, then Windows and Office grow to soak up that excess capacity, driving demand for yet faster hardware. But... there's a plausible need in that cycle for Windows, Word, etc.

Transness is actually really awesome. It's the transphobia that sucks. If everyone responded to trans kids coming out with "thanks for telling me, I love you" and being affirming, trans kids would have GREAT childhoods.
