@freya yeah... we almost never post despair-adjacent things in public because we don't want it to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. hope is necessary, no matter how irrational it is. all the acceptable futures require having hope as part of how we get there.
but we figured we aren't the only ones who are really tired, and pretending otherwise is doing everyone a disservice
so it was worth trying to thread the needle and look for a way to reconcile those two things, this time

Can smarter #WebDev people explain why this page is so, so, so, slow on iOS, even with JavaScript disabled? I rarely encounter this on other websites. When I visit this page on iOS running VoiceOver, VoiceOver is extremely sluggish, to the point where it takes almost 30 seconds for a navigational swipe to register. I have no other tabs or no other apps open. https://audiodrama.directory/tag/narrated/

@timorl @cwebber I have heard every now and then about people taking up new hobbies based on exposure in DDA and it makes me super happy.
There's a perennial complaint that, "basing most things on how they work IRL is so restrictive" and I'm like, "what? The way things work IRL is so cool though!".
I've always had a fascination with how things work, how things are made etc and it's been a huge influence on how DDA does things to showcase that.

ChiPass (taintless KeepassXC) exists I guess.
Doesn't help that sync usually sucks too. I'll just keep using what I'm already using.

Yesterday I saw an Incel Camino with a giant ad for a chiropractor on the side.
At first this confused me, because I thought chiropractors were all crystals-and-qi hippies.
But I guess now they're probably all qanon maha antivaxxers too, so in hindsight, this tracks.
It’s happening now!
