very important news, there was a baby jackdaw in the park.

low-resolution photo of two jackdaws on some grass. The front jackdaw is an adult, facing away from camera. Behind them is another jackdaw, almost as big but with an adorably fuzzy head, bright feathers on the back of their head, and a light gray line on their beak. aaaaaaa.

Damn, I signed up for a PeerTube server a while back and I don't remember which one. My ADHD ass couldn't handle the two day waiting period to get approved so by the time I got the email my mind was already somewhere else and I didn't save the info anywhere.

Anyway, if I wanted to join a PeerTube community so I could post video essays which should I go to?

Update: I ended up getting a BMX SolidSafe 5k, which A) has not caught fire or let the magic smoke out of any of my other devices yet and B) actually seems pretty nice? I've used the little OLED charging readout to verify that it supports passthrough charging, it's very legible, and charges WAY faster than my older Anker battery.

Poll closed. Interesting results. Well, I expected "worse" to be much higher than "better" with " worse and better" being a bit higher than "better" but even given me knowing fedi pretty well, this is pretty damn stark

I burst into tears seeing this. Sesame Street is locked behind a paywall with HBO and Fred Rogers Productions went "NOPE" and made sure that the magic and compassion that Mr. Rogers taught is available to everyone, no matter your financial status. They're making sure underserved kids have access to education, and VERY important emotional education at that. (Also, "They release sesame street a week later" that is STILL treating kids of poorer economic groups as a separate and lesser class, think for 5 seconds, ffs)

Also, please remember that Mr. Rogers started saying he was feeding the fish because a little girl who was blind was worried he was forgetting. He made his show accessible before that was even an inkling of a thought in so many entertainers' heads.
