Here's an interesting question for the people who defend the economic changes LLMs bring: at what point is the quality of life in Fall River, MA better after millwork went elsewhere, automated. What year, and why? Defend your position. Bonus points if you can describe who that quality of life describes.

Look I'm mostly not saying coding agents are good or bad (they're both, it's too complex to sum up as one or the other, and even on net, that's tough) but it sure is interesting how the really bad economics of so many parts of the tech industry are shaken up by it and definitely not all for the worse.

One of the lessons that many in software strangely never learn is that breaking something while being an asshole gets a very different response from people than breaking something while not being an asshole

And, given how “AI” continues to pour shit on the rest of society, using LLMs is widely going to be perceived as an asshole move

For better or for worse, using LLMs in OSS is going to be seen as an adversarial move that undermines community building

It's the most absurd plot. You will NOT guess what happens at all while reading the plot summary on Wikipedia.

🌈 #Queercraft is one of the oldest and largest #LGBTQIAplus gaming communities. Run by Prism, a 501(c)(3) registered charity, it hosts a public #Minecraft server with survival and creative gamemodes, as well as a live radio show every Saturday night at 08:00 PM EST. More details can be found at their official website: https://www.queercraft.net/

I've been playing on the Minecraft server since January 2026, and I can swear to how friendly and supportive the Queercraft community is. Staff is active and deals swiftly with any trolls or griefers who find their way into the Minecraft server. Members are eager to help, whether to offer words of encouragement or free materials for building or mapart projects. (Even if it affects my in-game business; please, I'm trying to sell my wool here /j)

This summer, Queercraft runs a fundraiser with a goal of 7,500 USD. All proceeds will go to Queercraft's upkeep. I know this is unusual for me to ask, and you're not obligated to help especially if you don't have the extra funds, but it would mean plenty to me if you can donate to Queercraft's fundraiser using this link: https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/fundraising/daryl-sun

(I receive no monetary compensation from the donation link: it's just for tracking the progress of my fundraising campaign.)

Thank you very much in advance, and happy Pride Month!

The boys on a soft stroll through their home forest. Woods untouched by humans, aside from the shapeshifters who consider it part of their home and territory, but leave it as untouched as possible to live in harmony with the critters of the forest.
Its a beautiful early autumn day. The leafs just started turning colorful for the fall and the sun gives the best to make it a warm day.
Still Nesoto couldn't help himself but bringing his scarf along, not for himself but for his boyfriend Romeo who gets cold the easiest of the three and how could he let his boyfriend get cold :P
They are just walking and talking, enjoying nature and home, Finn with a mug of warm cocoa between his paws, enjoying their time together.
They are just such a loving trouple!

Funfact: their heights are referenced by their human heights, not their animal shape. Romeo is a small wolf, but still a wolf, so bigger than Finn in animal shape.

I had this scene in mind last year autumn and i knew @LumiaP2L would be the perfect artist for this piece and obviously they were :D
They captured my vision (especially for the boys) from my describtion and very rough sketch to digital canvas so easily

Thank you also to @morgunkorn who made this possible in the first place :neofox_love: :neofox_hug_heart:

I'm so very happy to share a bit of my world with you in visual form. I love my boys and my world so much

(Also little fun fact, Lumia's mom is also a fan of Finn :P)

#FinnRomeoNesoto

A scenery of an autumn wood. There are leaf trees left and right with orange foliage, in the background, through the spots where the light falls in there are also some pinetrees visible. The ground is mostly still green with some orange leaflitter The centerpiece are three anthro characters. A black wolf (Nesoto) to the left, talking and gesturing and looking in the general direction of his boyfriends. Finn, an orange and black crossfox with a green, dotted bandana in the middle, holding a mug between his paws upward to his snoot, smiling at Nesoto and to the right a creme, brown and sandcolored wolf Romeo with a red scarf around his neck, also looking towards Nesoto seemingly answering him. Right behing Romeo is a fallen log, which is used as a natural restingplace in the forest.
