But just taking #zig at face value, it's not simple at all. How many ways to describe an array? How many kinds of "empty" values? How many lines of code to open a file?

What I'm saying is, a low-level language can't really be simple these days.

But! I do like the absence of inheritance. And I do like built-in SIMD.
