Omg my nephew is into Wu-tang now and invited me to a concert 😭😭

On one hand, it feels so good to bond over something that I loved as a kid. On the other, I know he likes Wu-tang like how I liked The Beatles, which is to say vaguely ironic because it's considered old people music. So, rude. lol

Listening to nepo babies defend themselves is so funny. Like dude, most people work hard. Talent is as common as dirt. It's opportunity. That's the whole thing.

Opportunity is finite and distributed unequally. In many ways it is a zero sum game. The space you occupy took opportunity from someone else who is by all odds more talented and hard working than you.

Welp… My new #darktable 5.6 experience is not off to a good start. After I switched OpenCL to the recommended RustiCL driver, the app started segfaulting on me on startup. Suprisingly, disabling opencl via the command line option doesn't fix the problem.

"High-functioning" ADHD looks capable on the outside — but the internal cost is invisible.
What others see: reliable, driven, calm, organised.
What's actually there: self-doubt, chronic exhaustion, perfectionism rooted in fear, burnout, emotional overload.
"High-functioning" describes output — not capacity.
For many, it means high masking: suppressing struggles and pushing through at the expense of wellbeing.
Support starts with being understood — not performing better.

yes! or we can test theories of quantum gravity anyway. obviously we haven't gotten a positive result yet or physicists would even more excitable than usual.

Damn I'm kinda floored by how well these breathing exercises have worked for me. I felt one coming on and immediately started taking deep breaths. Then I took a few hits of this. Within minutes it was gone.

I still feel that lingering feeling that comes with a cluster headache; it's hard to describe. But it's not painful. Honestly so grateful this works. I don't know how I'd make it.

maybe they outsourced to ChatGPT the job of checking there haven't been any other projects with names like terra/luna that would evoke extremely negative reactions

Tweet by OpenAI: Sol is our new flagship and a step function better than GPT-5.5. Terra delivers performance competitive to GPT-5.5 at 2x lower cost. Luna is our most cost-efficient model, delivering strong capability at our lowest cost. Together, the GPT-5.6 family gives people and developers more choice in how they balance intelligence, speed, and cost.

not that you can really whitewash "explosives magnate who sold militaries weapons to blow each other up" of course.
