Splashdown is a new Gemini protocol server that I just released like three minutes ago. It's written in PHP (of course), which means it can also execute PHP within a capsule. This will power omg.lol's upcoming Gemini capsule support, but I’m happy to share the source freely! https://source.tube/neatnik/Splashdown

I didn't realize that the guy I was talking with about the internet in 1999 thought of this as a *problem* to be solved... not what made the internet awesome.
All along there have been people who see everything you love about the internet as an unfortunate design oversight, something to be fixed. And they've been working for decades to make it happen.

However, Voldar and his assistants, Stobo and Shim, sabotage the factory and change its programming so that it makes the toys incorrectly. Meanwhile, Dropo, Kimar's assistant, who has taken a great liking to Santa Claus and Christmas, puts on one of Santa's spare suits and starts acting like him. After arriving at the toy factory, Voldar mistakes Dropo for the real Santa and kidnaps him.
Is it not true that to embody Santa's spirit is to be Santa, after all

Once this is accomplished, one Martian, Voldar, who strongly disagrees with the idea, repeatedly tries to kill Santa, believing that he is corrupting the children of Mars and turning them away from the planet's original glory.
Voldar's onto something though

Gas plants for US data centers to be major source of climate change-linked emissions, report says.
Dozens of planned gas plants to directly power data centers in the United States could emit as much greenhouse gas annually as Australia or France, according to a report by an environmental group published on Wednesday.
The Environmental Integrity Project reviewed 74 gas-fired U.S. power plant projects proposed or planned to provide electricity directly to data centers, which would sidestep the process to connect to the U.S. electric grid. It estimated that they would generate 143 gigawatts of electricity and result in 662 million tons per year of greenhouse gas emissions.
