Many of us have experienced the house cat phenomenon where they want to be in your lap or face or wherever your attention happens to be in the moment, but thankfully I've never had to deal with Dave Stewart's situation with the cow while using a computer:

After 4 months of slow progress, my Wayland window manager built on #river and written in #guile #scheme is finally functional!

I call it #gliver, it's heavily inspired by #emacs. It also inherits many of the architectural decisions and lessons learned from my other project #guile-swayer.

The screenshot shows a describe-variable function similar to #emacs

Let's say hypothetically I want to set up a new kind of business addressing the "gap between my understanding of tech and the average person's" space. I've been working on building a suitable poster and website but let's face it I'm not a marketing expert and I'm struggling a little with the tasks, in particular figuring out how to effectively communicate what I'm trying to pitch. How can I get this help?

(There's an implicit #GetFediHired here for anyone who knows this stuff, but I really don't have the spoons to go through tonnes of pitches right now, hence the quiet-public visibility).

10/10 peak poster design

A very professional (/s) looking poster. The background is a dark blue with miscellaneous yellow sparkles. Text at top: "Graphic Design Is My Passion", with each word in red, orange, yellow, green and teal respectively. There are sparkles over the picture. At the bottom is the text "Enjoy My Poster!" in white comic-sans font.

what do people think of this pattern matching syntax? https://cse.hkust.edu.hk/~parreaux/ucs%5Fv1.2.pdf
