For context, this is the inference provider I use; they serve Chinese models, right now primarily DeepSeek's latest releases. They retain no session transcripts, and are based in Europe (though their inference clusters are not all in Europe.)

Also notably they don't host any image or video generation models, and they are focused on coding. These models can do stuff like write fiction, but they're not actually that good at it. Software is where the money is.

This is still an energy-intensive business, but _look at those efficiencies_. There are orders of magnitude differences between providers and eras of this stuff.

Imagine, they’re sociopathic, but they chose to do it in places where they can basically say ‘if you don’t do X for less money you don’t care enough for the cause’. The degree of power they get to exert on the passionate and mission-driven is extreme.

The sorts of people who become execs in places like that are also sociopathic because basically they’re not even driven by big money, just power

Don’t ask me how I know

ive been "promoting" things on the internet for 15 years now! here's my top tips
- show yourself having fun
- many consistent repeated small launches is better than one big launch
- someone needs to see something like nine times before it sticks
- reward people for following along with everything. you can never go too far with in-jokes
- let people feel part of something.
- never show off. never try to be cool
- be like a monster in a horror film - never show the whole thing. make it seem like there's more to discover by clicking through
- create drama and arguments by being fearless and stupid
- make it clear you dont need anyone - you're having fun on your own. its more infectious that way
- show how you feel. feelings are more powerful than information
- its a lot like rolling the dice. to go viral once, roll a thousand dice

unfortunately the internet is not real life. i'm still learning how to promote things in real life

If you download it, click the #Strudel link below, and import the samples... you'll get an infinite soundscape - a wandering World'O'Techno-alike perhaps.

I've had it on in the background for hours and it's only driven me /slightly/ nuts.

Stereo recommended. There are more samples to be drilled in there if you're feeling adventurous.
