Imagine, they’re sociopathic, but they chose to do it in places where they can basically say ‘if you don’t do X for less money you don’t care enough for the cause’. The degree of power they get to exert on the passionate and mission-driven is extreme.
The sorts of people who become execs in places like that are also sociopathic because basically they’re not even driven by big money, just power
