German politician Wolfgang Kubicki proposed summoning Russia’s ambassador and warning Moscow that further hybrid attacks on Germany could lead to Ukraine receiving Taurus missiles.
He said Berlin should do everything possible to ensure Ukraine receives the weapons it needs if the threat continues.
Kubicki was responding to the attempted explosive-drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport, which Germany has since formally attributed to Russia.

Maybe you are excited about GTA6 and maybe you aren't, but it will likely be a cultural monument in at least the following way: there will probably never be a cultural artifact of this size and scale made without genAI slop in it again

@cwebber it’s especially weird for me to see this happening in FOSS spaces, considering that a lot of people contribute to FOSS projects out of a love of programming, a love of building community, and a love of the project itself.
I have no doubt that some of this stuff is great for 10X engineers who code big, complicated systems for a living, but it feels like generative AI just introduces more problems than it solves. It also seems to increasingly rely on a handful of companies who do not produce open code whatsoever, but are more than happy to harvest the commons for profit.

A Russian air attack interrupted the first classes at a Kyiv Oblast school on the same day they started their new year, forcing students into the shelter, regional authorities said.

Across Ukraine, about 240,000 children entered first grade, 10% fewer than last year. Some 200,000 near the front will study entirely online.
