Anyone who’s upgraded to macOS 27 know if the “mismatched Siri/systems language” trick will keep it from downloading the local AI models? I’ve heard mixed reports and want to find out before upgrading.

Rumble is the "YouTube for Nazis". The company behind it, the Rum Group, is aligned with Trump.

And now Anthropic made a nearly 14 billion USD deal with them.

Perplexity similarly made a deal with Trump's "Truth" Social.

Every "AI" company is directly collaborating with Nazis. And every employer in my industry is changing their entire business model to become "AI-first" while you have to argue with clueless, ignorant centrists about the alleged usefulness of "AI". It's so fucking tiring.

You cannot use LLMs without empowering Nazis. It's obvious that the CEOs of said employers don't care, but it would be great if at least the workers didn't brush this fact aside.

If you've upgraded to OS27, and resent the fact that Apple Intelligence is harder to deactivate, I suggest contacting https://support.apple.com/ and either asking them to walk you through the process and/or leaving a request that they include an on/off master switch in the next update. Be sure they feel some pushback on this.

One failure mode of an expert is that your experience can make you gloss over things that might be obvious to fresh eyes. And too many experts are too proud to take advantage of non-expert perspectives from time to time.

I can't tell you how many times a junior has helped me find a nasty bug by simply being a fresh pair of eyes and not having as many assumptions in their heads.
