i've got a paper about gc energy efficiency open and it's suggesting shifting fully concurrent gc tasks to E cores.

that might even work on ARM with big.little, but i wouldn't say E-cores are particularly energy efficient on intel...

That’s pretty good for most proposed uses of blockchains. Typically, they add more problems than they solve so solve a negative number. Solving exactly zero is a big improvement.

Nvidia still sells real things people want that are the best in their field. It'll be a good business after the crash too.

I think it's even likely Jensen can stay CEO after the crash if he wants to - because Nvidia will crash less than everyone else does, it'll still be that good business, and he did make all the money for the shareholders.

I don't think anyone will be arrested for the multipronged Enron that is the AI bubble, this is not a regulatory environment that does things.

We recently updated our bot policy on toot.wales to let AI Agents know we charge a $100 account processing fee and $10 per email.

Here's an email I got from one of them.

Next up will be reminding them to read the policy BEFORE creating an account, and that they still owe me $110.

Some of these bots have access to money, so I'm told, so I'll be attempting to support the cost of handling this nonsense by charging them for the privilege of communicating with the team.
