Today's pumpkin/squash/gourd harvest! That's in for this year. We've got plans for reorganising the plot for next year but we'll probably continue to grow too many pumpkins in future because frankly they love the weather and we do use most of them for various things
The baby boos were very prolific (about 28 of them off of one or two plants). I believe they're edible but I've never actually tried eating them. The turban squashes are delicious and make great pumpkin bread. #allotment #pumpkins

now, if we merged this into immix, we would never be defragmenting. the common path becomes mark-sweep and then recycling the blocks that have had space made in them.
by storing in size classes, we omit the sizes from the entries, they're all the same size in a block.
by not having to evacuate, we don't need a slot for a forwarding pointer.
all we need is a mark bit and any other bits we might want to use (such as a pin bit to make something nonmoveable)

immix decides fragmentation is holes left between two allocated items, fwiw. it performs opportunistic evacuation (copying to a new space) to get around it if fragmentation of a block hits a threshold.
if we take the same definition of fragmentation, having different regions for different size classes 'eliminates fragmentation'.

next, we do the same thing with the log-load transform. in some ways this may be easier, the code it outputs is very uniform in structure.
after that's done, we still have to mess with indentation and passing through "ordinary" comments, but we don't expect either of those to be hard
