Sleep, pah, failed that last night.

Had my first coffee at 3.30am. Had to open a new jar of coffee an hour later and oh my, the new instant coffee (which I have had before) was fucking awful, bad enough that I will dispose of it and the other jar of it that I have. So now the filter coffee is on, because sure, I really need a whole pot of coffee to get going. Lack of sleep and being betrayed by coffee is a terrible thing!

The Spawn hasn't got up for F1 practice session, so I'm not watching it this morning, I could really do without the noise right now. TBH, I don't even care about qualifying today, just not feeling it this weekend. We have a delivery coming today, any time from 7am, so I need to get this coffee down and jump in the shower asap. The Spawn will deal with the delivery later so I can go out to play today.

Anyhoo, don't forget about your coffee, I hope it is better than mine! Have a fab day everyone 🙂

Stitch is neurodivergent in a "literally an alien from outer space" sort of way, but also even among aliens he's considered an ugly duckling, so there's clearly something going on there allegorically too.

Thinking about the youtube video that was recommended to me that's just titled "Lilo & Stitch: What is autism?" and that's a potential sequel title right there. Lilo & Stitch 3: Lilo gets formally diagnosed.

I like how it isn't even framed as arguing the case that Lilo & Stitch is a story about neurodivergence, it's just taken as a given while jumping into a more detailed explanation of how it's about autism.

part of the reason for that, beside the lack of being community minded, is the lack of being willing to do anything differently or endure the slightest bit of difficulty. I see echos of what kept furries on FA in what keeps them on twitter and Discord and Telegram.

literally the only thing anyone can do about this is be the change they want to see and hope enough people in their circles are willing to do the same.

Just started the search engine episode on the #forkiverse , and man that just bums me out. Many people including myself reached out to give them blocklists and give help with moderation and whatnot, and I'm sure there are people still on there that could have been given mod roles, and they could have passed the hat to pay server bills. I really hope their takeaway is "well we tried something and didn't follow through and it turns out you can't leave an unmoderated space online on autoplay" rather than "the fedi doesn't work"
