There's an author I deeply love that's stopped publishing, and I go back and listen to her books often. It's sad, but I know tons of authors that could have given the world amazing stories but just became tired of navigating a hostile world and a hostile publishing landscape, especially all the LLM bullshit, even with small publishers. I was a developmental editor for some of them! trust me when I say you don't hate the system enough. I was paid, but still, it's just sad you all will not get to see these books because the authors write instead of publish. #Books #Bookstodon #WritingCommunity #ReadingCommunity
