it is my contention that what is missing from most packaging systems is a proper programming language. a proper programming language does not include deliberately limited languages like starlark or kdl, that is absolutely not what i want.
conary is the best we had so far, and that used python. and i know that being able to write things in a proper language was by far the best thing ever, even if it was python.
i actually would like to crank it all the way up to 11 on the power scale and just use a lisp. but what i absolutely do not want to do is use some shit language deliberately intended to limit you from building proper abstractions to tidy things up and eliminate boilerplate.
