this does imply something profoundly hopeful though, both for weathering the storm and for crawling out of the rubble afterwards: we need to build something that addresses this. some of that is probably some software (let's build some groupware during a bubble, the dream of the 90s is alive), but some of it is some kind of scaffolding to address the fact that the problem is we have *too many* places to connect already.
