Whew. 13 hours later, and finally mediaanalysisd has calmed down and is no longer burning 100% CPU on every efficiency core.
Otherwise everything feels pretty normal? Once "Writing Tools" are banished, all the other objectionable features are in places where they are not easy to accidentally click on, and they're all super slow and janky so even if I do invoke them it's unlikely I won't notice
