you do have significantly more freedom as a non-profit to just cease existing if you decide that's the most ethical course of action later on, which is nice as far as it goes, but that's going to be a really rough decision for you emotionally, and you're going to be strongly incentivized to convince yourself you're not really compromising your ethics.
