Having watched the Challenger doc and thinking about all this LLM policy crap again, this fact about disaster prevention occurs to me:
If you prevent a disaster, most times, nobody will know about it. All we will be able to see are the costs incurred by the caution taken to prevent a potential disaster.
This is especially bad when coupled with capitalism loving to cut "expenses". Because there was no disaster (because of the caution), it leads to a false sense of security.
