A screenshot of an email: Hi Paul, One of the best things about the "Y2K era" was that everything was made by real people, directly, themselves. They put their sincere human touch on everything because the act of creation required it. Everything on the early web reflected the personality and style of the person who made it, and everything was truly amazing because of that. Even our spam was written by real people back then. Spam was just as annoying then as it is now, of course, but there's something especially annoying these days about receiving spam authored entirely by Claude. Anyway, no, I'm not interested. Your site might have the look of an early web portal, but it lacks the soul of one (Claude still can't nail that). If I wanted to be listed in a webring created by Claude, I'd just ask Claude to do that myself. I don't need someone to do it for me. This is not "the old web doing old-web things"; this is modern marketing with an an artificial classic veneer, driven by artificial intelligence. And it's not for me. Adam
