I am reserving the tiniest sliver of grace for AI "what about meat" whataboutism, in that a few times now I have heard vegans or vegetarians use "but what about meat" as a shorthand for "I *have* considered the ethical calculus on AI and I think the cost/benefit is one I can live with, I know you find that ridiculous and disagree but I also find your eating of meat ridiculous and I disagree with that".
