It's probably because I grew up long ago when the idea of always being connected to everything when you were on the go was a far away fantasy (at best you had CBs or Ham radio), but I don't hanker to have internet with me regardless of where I am. If I'm on a plane, train, highway, hiking up in the mountains, or walking in a remote field, I don't need to have the internet with me.
In fact, these days, I might appreciate the excuse to be able to say, "I won't be available." But not anymore. Bathe every inch of the earth in those sweet, sweet electromagnetic waves... The conduit to our doomscrolls... Just in case somebody happens to be there.
