Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you could forever wander the cold dark reaches of space. Or more likely, since it's actually hard to escape earth's gravity unless you are very deliberate about it, you could end up in a slowly decaying orbit around earth and eventually burn up in the atmosphere during an uncontrolled reentry. Or perhaps you'll just blowup on the launchpad. It's all good. Go for it!
