Writers: Yes, in fact, you should use words like "fecund" and "uxorial" or any other less-than-common words if they are the right words for the story you are telling. Use the "fancy" word when the "non-fancy" word doesn't hit they way you need it to. Do what your momma told you: Use your words. All of them.
