Stories like this remind me what the average "internet" experience is for most people.I left these big company's version of the internet years ago and jumped head first into blogging, self hosting, and the indieweb. I'm so grateful for spaces and products like:

It doesn't have to be like this. The internet is still fun, connected, and encouraging. You just have to leave the oligarch's spiderwebs in the past and vote with your wallet. You are not "staying connected". It's a ruse, you are being manipulated by algorithms and hate bait.
