Hi everyone, I'm trying hard to find a job but with the LLM job application onslaught and the ongoing systemic queerphobia, I'm not even getting rejection emails back. I'm desperate, my partner and I are each others primary carers, our safety net is running out fast, and our support network has dried up as everyone we know is facing their own struggles.
I've got US work permissions, but I'm willing and able to contract internationally for anyone who can be flexible. I'm looking for any remote work, tech/IT preferred, but I'll take anything right now.
I'm an experienced Linux system administrator, helpdesk support, and software developer. I know Python, Rust, C, Bash, Perl, Ruby, PHP, Go, Docker, and I've been around enough that I can get up to speed with new languages and unfamiliar codebases quickly.

In my open source work on Github, I've contributed to Gleam's website and compiler, Python's typeshed repository, Pipx, and the Python markdown library Marko.
