If you read only one article about "AI" this month, than read this long, but very very good article by @tante

But there is another aspect of “Al” usage that fuels the right’s enjoyment of using “Al”: It hurts the people they want to hurt. “Al” is cur- rently mostly used to generate media (think images, illustrations, music or text). But tra- ditionally people in those creative industries are more left leaning, more inclusive. Fascists just can’t create good and interesting art. Using “Al” to take that groups’ jobs, their livelihood, their creative expression away is exactly why using “Al” to create an image is so enjoyable by right wingers: It’s a vulgar display of power.
That does not mean that every user of “Al” products is therefore a fascist. Some “Al”- users might even consider themselves an- tifascists. But by using these systems you are integrating inherently fascist logic into your thinking, into your mental apparatus. These systems force you to at least accept the fas- cist tendencies within “Al” systems as “nor- mal” or “okay”.
Screenshot with some Text that is marked red: This framing implies that you should not unionize and connect with your fellow workers but that you should see them as your enemies, as the people who will take your job and your ability to provide for your family.
This implicitly cuts my ability to form connections of solidarity with de- signers whose work and livelihood I have im- plicitly declared irrelevant. It makes me put myself over my fellow workers, workers who are facing the same struggles as me, who are my comrades. But no more.
